Then we tore up the royal blue carpet, although it did make you feel very happy and sesame street-ish. You know, like the cookie monster. We left the radiator painted the blue wall color, to remind us of how far we'd come. Truthfully, we thought we needed special radiator paint, although we've since been told that is a misguided belief. Apparently Benjamin Moore or California Paints works just fine.

We still don't have curtains. I can't seem to find anything I like. I bought a sewing machine in the hopes of sewing my own curtains, but can't find anything that looks right. Suggestions?

The room looks awesome! Much better without the blue. :)

I love it! I wish Guy would paint our room. I don't hate it but I would LOVE another color. It's way too dark in there.

I would say for curtains, a very light gauzy type fabric or plantation shutters would look awesome. The room is so airy!

Ooooh, I am definitely trying the plantation shutters! I found an article online saying that they date back to colonial periods! Perfect! Thanks!

And yes, regular paint does work on radiators and they suggested spray paint for those spots where paint doesn't reach. A paint store can color match the spray paint for you.
