you can start calling me "grace"

This baby really is an attention hog, apparently. We've been in the hospital all weekend because of a minor fall in the parking lot of Home Depot on Saturday afternoon that turned into pre-term contractions for 24+ hours. The baby is fine, heartbeat great, ultrasound beautiful, but the contractions won't stop coming. Right after the fall, the contractions were coming 2-4 minutes apart for several hours, but they have been spacing out since then and hopefully they'll stop for good sometime tonight. The contractions aren't causing any dilation, so there's been no talk of medication or having the baby early.

I don't have much to share besides this for now, but when I hear more from the doctors I'll give another update. In the meantime, please send some positive thoughts and prayers our way for a few more weeks of "cooking" for this baby.

I hope you can feel the prayers and positive thoughts from as faraway as Canada but I am squinching up my eyes and head to try and get them to you!
Stay in the oven bun for just a little while longer!

Oh, how scary. I'm glad you're OK, and I'm ordering that baby to stay put for a few more weeks!

Oh, I hope you all are OK.

And, little one, you are supposed to be a Christmas baby. No turkey for you!

Take care, you. And baby, you stay in there a while longer!

Oh my! Yes, baby, you should really enjoy where you are for a little bit longer...

Yipes!!!

I agree with Kathy, no turkey for you Littlest Pumpkin! You are supposed to arrive on CHRISTMAS which is still 5 weeks away. So stay put!

And knock off the contractions because those hurt your Mother and someday you might want a raise in your allowance or a later curfew. (It's never too early to start banking points.)

If it makes you feel any better, I had contractions 2-3 minutes apart for FIVE WEEKS before Dorian was born. Five weeks.

If you can swing it, bed rest doesn't hurt. Actually it is very comfortable. Mmm, bed....

All flippancy aside, I am sending you some good full-term-baby vibes.

Yikes! I hope that the baby stays put for a while longer -- and that you both are okay.

Thinking of you and baby, and hoping that everything will turn out just fine.

Hang in there, baby baby! There's plenty of time for you to see the wide world!

Sounds like you need to sit back and relax so your little one can do that 'final bake'! Kick those feet up and rest!

That's it...no more walking for you ;-)

Stay put baby! No coming until you are fully cooked!

Hoping this is a Christmas baby and not a Thanksgiving baby, cause then we would have to name it turkey. Kidding!!

Sending very anti-contraction thoughts and prayers your way.

Okay repeat after me, "I will not fall down anymore while we wait for this baby!"
Sends hugs and good wishes!

I will keep praying, like I have been praying for so long already.

Ook. I hope baby will stay put for a bit yet and that your contractions stop, because that doesn't sound so fun. Stay, baby!

I'll be thinking of you - you're doing great! Keep relaxing!

Now, Baby, you know you don't want to come out here yet. You just wait until December. Mama still needs to get you a "My first Christmas" ornament.

I'm glad you are doing okay. Thinking of you.
