show and tell: close up

I made my monthly trip to Costco, three weeks ago, and discovered that they were selling a vase full of tulip bulbs, resting in water. The tulip bulbs had just sprouted and were only 2 inches high. The sign in front said that they would provide weeks of cheery growth, and hey! Who am I to turn down cheery growth?

Three weeks later, my two inch sprouts have taken a turn for the best.

Please ignore the mess.

Per Blackbird's request, here they are Up Close.

My other sources of cheer, and especially, laughter.

As "up close" as you can get with squirmy dogs.

Happy Thursday!

What lovely flowers and adorable poochie close-ups. Hey, remember Poochie, the pink and white cartoon dog? Man, I loved that dog.

It's so nice to read such a cheery post on a grey February day.

Too funny! I just had my monthly pilgrimage to Costco and saw the tulips there...but they had all bloomed already.

I do love tulips. When I went to Holland I brought back about 100 -pink ones :-).

The clothes and the closet ... my kids HATE when I go closet cleaning. I tend to get rid of things I hate to see them in.

I didn't buy the tulips, but I saw that they still had bulbs in vases yesterday. I must go back.

Those are beatiful! Thanks for brightening this cold and dreary day.

Those tulips are fantastic--so they grow in water, just like paperwhites?
The dogs are awesome, too. I love fuzzy, snuggly guys and they both look snuggly.

I am going to try to use the phrase "cheery growth" at least three times this week. Try to stop me.
