stupid-er

Today marks the second time I have walked into a Dunkin' Donuts, paid with a $20 bill, and walked out without getting my change.

Twice.

I think this pregnancy is making me stupid-er.

Oh, I'd pay $20 in a heartbeat for a couple dutch crumb munchkins! (There's barely any dunkin' donuts around here)

I swear pregnancy sucks the blood right out of your brain!

It's a fact that pregnancy does indeed make people more "absent minded" - once, when I was pregnant, I pulled into a gas station, put my car in park and left it running (safe in my small, hometown) and ran into get something to drink. When I came back, I plopped down into the passenger side and waited for my boyfriend to return and drive us home. I must have sat there for five minutes or so before I remembered driving myself there and I was so embarrassed that, instead of getting out of the car and walking around to the driver side, I opted to slide over the console into the driver's seat - pregnant belly and all!!!

To this day, though, I sometimes buy something small at the grocery store, pay and walk right out without my purchase. And I'm not even pregnant.

Pregnancy really does make you more forgetful. The folds of your brain flatten out during pregnancy, negatively affecting your short-term memory.

Pregnancy does make you stupid-er.

I'm beginning to think the damage is permanent because I can't remember a thing!

Don't worry. Your brain will come back. I promise.

Please don't ask my children to verify this...

Do you one better...ordered a coffee at starbucks, paid for it, and LEFT WITHOUT THE COFFEE. Didn't even wait for it-- just left. Like,"hey, I like you guys. here's some money!"

I have done this twice.

And I have never been pregnant.

My point, at least you have an excuse. I'm just plain old dumb.

Also, Lunch?
