happy blogiversary to me!

Today is my one year blogiversary!!! Hurray! Who knew that I'd keep this up for one whole year? I sure didn't. This was the second or third blog I'd started, only to let it go after a while, so it is a real surprise.

One year ago today, I wrote this. I am happy to report that my lovely husband is still my lovely husband, because today at work I received this:

I think I'll keep him.

Also, in honor of my blogiversary, I shall tell you two(!!) embarassing stories about myself.

In high school, I thought I was super cool. I mean, super DUPER cool. So cool was I, that 90210, the show, would be on television on Wednesday nights. It was my trademark to wear my hair on Thursday to school JUST LIKE one of the characters on 90210. I had long straight hair, so I could somewhat replicate the styles that Kelly or Brenda were wearing. And by somewhat, I mean, not really. I would even enlist my mom's help in doing it. I'd pull her out of whatever she was doing while the show was on, and then make her get up early to do my hair that way in the morning.

Like I said, super duper UBER cool.

I also used to fight with my friends in sixth grade over who the New Kids on the Block liked best out of all of us. Because, you know, they knew us. And the odds of meeting them was really high.

I totally think they would have liked me. I'm just sayin'.

**************************
Thanks to all of you for making this a wonderful blogging year for me!

Happy blogiversary!!!

I love your stories. I was 90210 junkie, but it never occurred to me copy the hairstyle the next day. Although I do remember having pieces and hunks hanging in my face when my hair was up or pulled back.

As for the NKOTB, I was in love with Donnie. My best friend and I watched the videos over and over and could do it with them. That is very sad. :)

Happy blogiversary! I think you are super-duper cool, as long as you didn't try one of Donna's hairstyles...

Happy blogiversary!!!

I think you are still totally super duper cool.

Can I admit that it's only been in the past few years that I've stopped trying to copy hairstyles I've seen on MTV? And that's mostly because I don't watch MTV anymore...

happy Blogiversary!

tell me, please TELL me your mom had the forsight to take a picture of you in Kelly or Brenda hair. Not so much for the sytle (um straight, long not much of a style) but to see your face w/ a, "yeah, I AM the shit. deal with it," look.

I had the long bags as well, and all it got me was, "get your hair out of yuor eyes, Jennifer" from my mother. Bitch.

long BANGS, not bags.

no seriously..those flowers are NOT for your blogiversary are they?

(sighing..in awe...of how one trains husband for such things)

SIGH

No, the husband didn't even know it was the blogiversary. Those flowers are because certain members of our family have been misbehaving toward me. And I was having a bad week because of it. Lots of anxiety, stress, etc.

Happy Blogiversary. First I am a long time lurker. Never commented before. Thank you for visiting my place.

May I say that pink and black bathroom of yours would be so super cool done in 1920's Hollywood or Parisian Glamour. What a delicious starting point you have to work with. I hope the tile underneath is in excellent shape!

Yay - happy blogiverary to you, dear!!!

Your husband's flowers are SO sweet!

Yeah, I was wondering if that was the reason behind the flowers. Hugs to you!

happy blogiversary!

ummm... ok, i was SO into Danny of NKOTB. my reasoning being that *nobody* liked Danny, so if we ever met them, he would be so happy that some one liked *him* that he would totally be into me.

lame. lame. lame.

My sister and I were major NKOTB fan. We even had the Christmas tape and the Barbies.

I had a poster of Joey on my closet door, and I would stare at it dreamily before I went to sleep at night. Like Beth, I chose my NKOTB boy for strategic reasons - he was the youngest so most likely to fall in love with me if we met. Ha.

Did you know there's an NKOTB greatest hits CD?
