the joys of parenting

Gabriel spit up all over Josh's laptop keyboard.

He no longer has use of the 9, (, 0, ), O, or P keys. Apparently, these keys are important to him. Something about not being able to take notes in class, blah, blah, can't do Excel equations without parentheses, blah, blah.

I'm getting nervous that he is going to ask to borrow my laptop to take to class with him and do his homework. I've been preparing myself, though. I have my speech all ready for him, about how maybe he should have thought twice before leaning over his computer with his son in his arms. It's all about tough love.

Plus, I need my computer for important things like blogging while breastfeeding and surfing the web. Maybe I should hide it under the couch and pretend that it's lost? You don't want to live without pictures of chubby baby feet, do you?

he can just learn to live without those letters I think. They aren't all that important.

love those baby toes.

Email him a file containing 9, (, 0, O, and P, and instruct him to cut and paste from that file as necessary while taking notes.

I actually did this while I was writing my undergraduate thesis, and the keyboard on my word processor broke. Sad, ain't it?

Those are the unimportant keys. Who uses them, anyway?

I am laughing over Phantom's idea. That sounds painstaking but Josh could do it for a while.

I love those tiny feet!

Ah...baby puke. The ruination of many a fine garment, and now random keys! Is there anything it can't destroy? :)

Sorry Josh is bewailing his loss of his electronic tether, but you need that laptop for sanity's sake! What's wrong with a notebook and a pen for notes? :)

Looks like poor Daddy is s.o.l. on this one!

Must nibble on the delicious baby toes. And, no, you can NOT loan out your laptop.

Yummy baby feet. I can never take too many shots of Little G's feetsies. Totally been there in the keyboard thing just tell him to use the little star thing like you would in curse words. HA!

I love baby feet! Soft round toes are the best!

P.S. Tell Josh to pop his keys off and clean with a Q-tip and alcohol. Then pop the letters back on.
