After a brief talk from some of the legal aid organizations that the increased funds would benefit, all the attorneys split up to visit their respective parties.
It was short, and sweet, and in less than three hours I'd visited my Senator and Representative, spoken to each about increasing funding for worthy groups, had lunch and was back at the office.
It was a beautiful almost-Spring day, and it is always nice to see colleagues outside of the office. They let their guards down, become more personable and friendly. And of course, it is always nice to do something for others.
Perfect for the soul. It was a great opportunity to bring Camille along to practice taking some pictures of the event and the other attorneys from my firm that came along.

It's so encouraging to hear about this! Especially since it wasn't just marching but also meeting with the people who make the decisions. I hope it works!
What a great thing to do. Hooray for Halloweenlover and the other participating attorneys!
The weather looked nice. I hope it stays that way-- my husband and boys are coming up there for a long weekend to see his brother while I'm in AFRICA and I heard it was turning COLD!!
I love the last photo especially.
I admire you for advocating for more legal aid funding. What a good cause! I hope that your Walk to the Hill will have fruitful results.
Love the pictures, HL! And it absolutely sounds wonderful of you all.
I'm seeing Phantom when I come to Boston in May - hope you are available, too!
I'm here via amygeekgrrl's blog, since you mentioned Boston, and I moved from the area a couple years ago and still have such a spot in my heart for it. I adore the photos~ What is the organic food delivery service there? I want to tell a friend of mine..
