flaming show and tell

Blackbird's request this week: show her the color red.

Finding something red was easy. Red is my favorite color. Red is my accent color for everything.

My first choice when picking a purse, an item of clothing, shoes!

The color I use to punch up an otherwise boring room!

Red makes you hungry, did you know that? Hence, my red dining room. I like to put cranberries into vases and then a candle in the middle. Fancy!

My new down throw that keeps me toasty warm in a chilly room? Red! The pups like it too.

I didn't use any red in my wedding, so I had to throw some red into a wedding frame. That's us!

And my favorite red item of all? My RED HOT husband (in a red shirt!).

Funny, I have a ton of red in my house too. I use it quite often for accent colors and have ALOT of red in my wardrobe. Red & Black, they are staples for me.

Where I am from (Atl. Canada) people also try to associate my love for the color red with a certain political party....hahah, if they only knew!

cute doggies and beautiful wedding picture!

HA HA!!! Last night when he got home from studying at 12:45am (!!) and I saw he was wearing a red shirt, I begged him to let me take his picture, and after some grumbling he posed like that. I was cracking up! He's a blogging ham.

I love red, too - it's a good color for our complexion!

I love Mr. H.Lover's pose - classic GQ!

What a joint!
Hey! Listen! You're well-off!
And golly, what a nice pair of mutts. Nice and comfy. Yes. Well pardon my envy, but some four-legged critters do very well for themselves. Very well indeed. -Not that they don't deserve it, mind you. I'm a dog person myself. But pardon me!- yours look like I could live off their scraps.

Love the photo essay! All so very cute and pretty! (Apply adjectives as appropriate!)

Being from a blue school with a rival red school, however, the wearing and display of red stuff around here is pretty much forbidden.

As you know, red is my favorite color, so I loved these pictures. Your wedding photo is absolutely beautiful, by the way.

Reminds me of my college roommate, who has a similar fascination with the color red. My color obsession is pink, so we had a very Valentine's-ish dorm room. :)

That....

is a lot of red.

I love bright colours, so it looks great to me.

And wow, I'm suffering total decoration envy. I love your dining room.

No one has offered to take me in. How disappointing. Maybe they think I pee on the furniture? Well that is a lie! A dirty lowdown lie! I do not pee on the furniture; I go outside. And yes, I do have a scratch now and then. But only when I'm itchy. Some people scratch all the time. Just for something to do. Ohio is full of people like that. Republicans.

(I'd prefer Santa Monica; I like the pier. Yes, and a good looking widow too, with lots of dough. Perfect.)

Can I host a dinner party at your house?

I LOVE your dining room. My feeling is, every house should have at least 1 red room (and when "I get big" and buy a house, will have one, too). Red is my favorite color and our living rooms look fairly similar (I have dark burgandy curtains, ditto carpet, and accent pillows on my beige couch). I have 2 pairs of red shoes.
cute hubby.
