now, where did that ear go?

I want to post, I really do, but I am trying not to let my head explode from the pain. Cough, wheeze. I seem to have come down AGAIN with the cold/flu from a couple of weeks ago and I am once again struggling to make it through the day without blowing out my ear drums. Sniff sniff. Due to this fact, and the fact that I am valiantly trying to stay at work until after my 1pm client presentation, I have no more energy or brain matter to type a post.

I hope you are all having a more pleasant day. My only bit of happy news is that I rearranged my office and brought in a huge Eiffel Tower lamp with a honkin' big red shade and my office is just lovely and homey and colorful. I've gotten tons of compliments. Pictures to follow. Wheeeeeeeeze.

Feel better and enjoy your cool lamp, you continental fool!

Hum. Might I recommend some antimicrobial Kleenex to combat these fluey germs??

Or some chicken soup and pamering be placed on the agenda for the weekend? The hubs owes you for those sandwiches.... ;)

I made it through the presentation and only infected 3 other people with my coughs and blowing of the nose. Hurray! Josh is coming to pick me up at 4pm since I forgot my wallet at home and have no cash to take a cab. Sigh.

He cancelled his plans tonight and there will be plenty of pampering, believe you me. I want grilled cheese, damnit.

I am a continental fool! The lamp is gorgeous. You all will be mesmerized. I promise. People keep stopping in and telling me they love it. And I added a pumpkin spice scent plug-in from bath and body works as well. My office couldn't possibly be more inviting unless I threw in a recliner : )

Grilled cheese, that is some good pampering!
When you are well I am wanting to see the lamp!
It reminds me of the leg lamp from "A Christmas Story"

See? I must have passed my cold on to you. So sorry.

Feel better! Sending you virtual chicken soup and hugs.

Eat your grilled cheese, take some NyQuil, and go to bed early.

One of my favorite "comfort meals" is grilled cheese and tomato soup. Hope you feel better.

Hope you are feeling a little better by now. Be sure to pamper yourself back to health. :)

Looking forward to seeing photos of the lamp...Your office sounds so cozy and welcoming, are you sure you are a corporate laywer!?! ;)

I'm sorry that you are sick and hope that you feel better soon. In the meantime, enjoy the pampering and the grilled cheese. Speaking of pampering, I think this cold/flu sounds like a good excuse to park yourself on the couch all weekend with a pillow and blanket and lots of DVDs.

Your lamp sounds absolutely lovely. As you know, my favorite color is red, and I love Paris, so I can't imagine a more perfect way to shed light on an office than by using an Eiffel Tower lamp with a crimson shade. I look forward to seeing the pictures.

are you sure it's not autumn allergies, HL? you know your system better than anyone, of course, but if you get this every year at the same time, it might be an allergen that's in the trees or something...

at any rate, i hope you feel better!
